Here’s an experiment where you participants pledge to wear only 6 items of clothing for a month (of course, certain items like accessories, underwear, uniforms, etc) are not included.
This is interesting because one of the greatest freedoms I have experienced was living on an island where no one was concerned too much about what they themselves, or others wore. No panic, anxiety or any type of pressure about your outward appearance because there wasn’t any place for this sort of judgement.
I myself, like simple living, but there’s also a side of me that enjoys expression in fashion. I suppose it’s about balance and not allowing yourself to become a slave to it. I can spend time to dress myself up, but I don’t need to. I do it, because I can and like to but am equally comfortable when I’ve had to rotate the same clothing pieces throughout a week.
